Peran UMKM Dalam Mendukung Kemandirian Pondok Pesantren
"Goal: This study aims to analyze the influence of Human Resources (HR), leadership,
technology utilization, access to capital, and networking and partnerships on the success of
micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools (Pondok
Pesantren Modern), as well as to examine the effect of MSME success on the independence of
Islamic boarding schools.
Method: A quantitative approach was employed using both primary and secondary data.
Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to managers, owners,
administrators, and alumni of Islamic boarding schools, while secondary data were obtained
from reports, publications, and literature related to pesantren-based MSMEs. A total of 472
respondents participated in the study. The data were analyzed using Partial Least
Squares (Smart-PLS) with a purposive sampling technique.
Fact/Finding: The results indicate that four variables—HR, access to capital, networking and
partnerships, and MSME success on pesantren independence—have a significant influence at
the 5% significance level. Conversely, leadership and technology utilization were found to be
non-significant. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening human resource
capacity, ensuring adequate financing, and developing partnership networks as key strategies
to optimize the role of pesantren-based MSMEs in fostering both economic and institutional
independence"
