Analisis Petani Jahe Dengan Action Research
"Objective: This research aims to develop ginger cultivation entrepreneurship
through Business Model Canvas (BMC) analysis, focusing on cost structure,
customer segmentation, and value proposition. In an era of globalization and
economic uncertainty, entrepreneurship in the agribusiness sector, such as ginger
cultivation, plays a strategic role in driving economic growth and job creation.
Method: This research used a qualitative approach with Action Research methods
conducted in two different locations: in Gunung Geulis, Jatinangor, Sumedang
(individual farmers) and in Jorong Sonsang, Agam (Mapansa Madani Farmers
Group).
Results: This research shows that ginger cultivation has great potential for
development. (1) The cost structure indicates that ginger cultivation requires
significant initial costs. (2) Customer segments identified include the food,
pharmaceutical, cosmetics, traditional herbal medicine industries, household
consumers, and the export market. (3) The main value proposition includes product
benefits and quality. The application of BMC in this study demonstrates that with
efficient cost structure management, targeted customer segments, and the
formulation of a strong value proposition, ginger cultivation businesses have
