Rencana Bisnis "Salai Sedap Sumatra" Dengan Analisis Bisnis Model Canvas (BMC)
"This study aims to design a business plan for Salai Sedap Sumatra using the
Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach to analyze and validate the customer segments
and value propositions. The research background stems from the high potential of smoked
fish (ikan salai) as a nutritious, practical, and long-shelf-life food, as well as a
representation of Sumatran culinary heritage. The method applied was Action Research
with a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and literature review,
conducted in Bogor City from April to August 2025. The results indicate that the main
customer segments consist of housewives, Sumatran migrants, and Indonesian culinary
enthusiasts. The core value propositions offered include flexibility of use in various dishes,
preservation of regional culinary identity, and extended shelf life without artificial
preservatives. These findings provide a strategic foundation for developing a competitive
business that is culturally relevant and supports local food security."
