Prediksi Financial Distress Model Altman Z-Score Pada Perusahaan Subsektor Makanan dan Minuman Halal Yang Terdaftar di Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) Sebelum, Saat, dan Setelah Pandemi COVID-19
"Objective : This study aims to analyze and predict the financial distress conditions
of halal food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Sharia
Stock Index (ISSI) before (2018–2019), during (2020–2022), and after the COVID-
19 pandemic (2023–2024) using the Altman Z-Score model.
Methodology : The research employed a quantitative-descriptive method with
secondary data derived from the annual financial statements of 16 sample
companies selected through purposive sampling. The analysis involved calculating
Z-Score values to classify companies into distress, grey area, and non-distress
categories, as well as conducting paired sample t-tests to identify significant
differences between periods.
Results : The results indicate that before the pandemic, most companies were in the
non-distress category (93.75%), with only one company experiencing distress.
During the pandemic, the proportion of non-distress companies declined to 85.4%,
with one distress case (PT Kino Indonesia Tbk). After the pandemic, conditions
improved to 87.5% non-distress; however, KINO remained in distress, and PT Budi
Starch & Sweetener Tbk consistently stayed in the grey area"
