Analisis pengaruh zakat terhadap pendapatan nasional pendekatan path nalysis

Abstract
This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effect of zakat towards national income through variable consumption and investment. The variables used in this study are zakat, consumption, investment and national income for the period Q1 2002 until Q4 2011 using path analysis method. The result shows that there is a positive significant indirect relation between zakat and consumption by 45.3%. Meanwhile consumption and investment can link zakat with national income by 4%. In other words, zakat has positive significant influence on national income. However, zakat is not significant and indirectly related to investment therefore zakat could not influece national income through investment variable. Furthermore, zakat has a multiplier effect towards economy as it influence consumption and investment before it influece national income as a whole.
