Active training : a handbook of techniques, designs, case examples, and tips
Since it was first published in 1991, Active Training has become a classic book in the field of training and development and a standard text on graduate-level HRD programs. The book turned instructional design on its head by shifting the emphasis away from the instructor and on to the learner. Today, participant-centered learning is all the rage thanks, in great part, to Silberman's ideas. This new, third edition, provides an update to the core concepts of Active Training/design. Important sections, including assessment and evaluation, have been revised and a new chapter has been added to cover the design of Active Training for e-learning and online applications. Silberman is the author of 101 Ways to Make Training Active (0883904756).
