PENGARUH KEPEMILIKKAN PUBLIK TERHADAP NILAI PERUSAHAAN DENGAN CORPORATE GOVERNANCE SEBAGAI VARIABEL PERANTARA PADA JAKARTA ISLAMIC INDEX

This study aims to determine whether there is a direct and indirect influence between variables public ownership, corporate governance and firm value in companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Samples in these data are the annual reports published by each company listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) and corporate governance scorecard from The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) as the basis for the calculation of corporate governance during the period 2007-2011. The method used is Path Analysis. The results of this study stated that there are significant negative direct influences between public ownership variables on firm value but did not find an indirect significant influence between variables public ownership on firm value with corporate governance as an intervening variable.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antara variabel kepemilikan publik, corporate governance dan nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Sampel pada data ini adalah laporan tahunan yang diterbitkan oleh masing-masing perusahaan yang terdaftar di Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) dan Scorecard corporate governance dari The Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD) sebagai dasar penghitungan dari corporate governance selama periode 2007-2011. Metode yang digunakan adalah Analisis Jalur (Path Analysis). Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh langsung yang negatif signifikan antara variabel kepemilikan Publik terhadap nilai perusahaan tapi tidak ditemukannya pengaruh tidak langsung antara variabel kepemilakan Publik terhadap nilai perusahaan dengan corporate governance sebagai variabel perantara.
